A couple of weeks ago, I wrote about the problem we were having in the Small Town household with failing appliances and other electronics.  As a quick reminder, my computer imploded, our heat went out, our ceiling fan fell out of the ceiling, our washer started leaking, and our oven died.  You would think we had suffered enough.  Apparently, the appliances disagree.

That led me to a new game.  We are going to play guess this appliance.  You get to guess which appliance died on us this weekend.  If you win, you will get a surprise prize.  The wInner must have a mailing address in the U.S. (I don’t know how to mail to Canada), but please don’t let that stop anyone outside of the U.S. from playing.  I will even offer a few clues…

• It didn’t just fizzle and die, it went out in a dramatic display during Libby’s birthday party.
• Nobody got hurt in the dramatic display.
• It, like the other items that have died (except the heat), is 4 years old (I am convinced that GE either hates me or designs everything to last only 4 years).

So that’s it.  Leave me a guess below.  If more than one person guesses correctly, the winner will be chosen in a random drawing (conducted by the birthday girl since she doesn’t know any of you).  You can get an extra entry if you have an amusing appliance death story (I could use a laugh).  You can not guess if you attended Libby’s birthday party and saw the dramatic display, but you can enter with an amusing appliance story.  The prize will be announced with the winner, but I promise it will not be manufactured by GE.
