My Cell Phone is Coming, My Cell Phone is Coming

randomtuesday

Hey, look at that, it’s Tuesday which means my replacement cell phone is scheduled to arrive.  What?  You mean no one cares about that but me?  Fine, then today is the day for random thoughts from all over the Internet (although isn’t it supposed to be all about me?).

Yes, as I mentioned last Tuesday my cell phone was misplaced, lost, stolen.  As an experienced cell phone owner who is kind of a klutz, I ordered the insurance.  Didn’t help.  My phone was back ordered and the insurance company told me, too bad.  So I waited.  Then I waited some more.  The insurance company was supposed to call me when the cell phone came in.  They never called (isn’t that just like a man).  Since I am so impatient diligent, I continued to check the Web site.  Yesterday, I finally found a change.  Call a service representative as opposed to your phone is back ordered, no phone for you.  So I called.  And my phone is supposed to arrive today.  Apparently I have to sit at home all day to wait for the phone to arrive.  I guess the insurance company wants to make sure the phone receives an appropriate welcome.  Should I bake welcome cookies?  Maybe create a banner?  What if my welcome isn’t considered fabulous enough?  Will they take back my cell phone?  They will have to rip it out of my cold, dead hands.

I ordered my Christmas cards last night (because I believe in waiting until the last possible second).  They have a photo of Libby and Joanna on one side and a photo of Hamlet wearing the ears of shame on the other.  ears of shame

Maybe I will get them all out by New Years.

Don’t forget to enter this fabulous giveaway. I am giving away a $25 gift card to BJ’s Warehouse Club (with a 2 month membership).  Not too many people have entered so you have a great chance to win.  I had a marvelous time when I went to BJ’s so I wanted to share the opportunity with you.

Thanks for stopping by for Random Tuesday Thoughts.  Now head on over to Keely’s to see what the rest of the Internet is thinking.

I love the Christmas picture. You will get yours out by New Years, Ha I have you beat. I haven’t even done mine yet, so maybe I will just do Valentines Day cards.

Can you say Upgrade… hoping that your new phone is better than the last (maybe it has a GPS tracking devise on it in case it’s stolen).

    Thank you for your randomness,

I don’t know how you’ve gone so long without your phone. I misplaced mine yesterday and felt completely lost. It’s a shame how dependent I’ve become on it!

I think you should have them deliver the cell phone down the chimney, so it feels like it didn’t miss Christmas. Because, you know, you want the cell phone to feel like it’s part of the family.

And that picture of your dog rocks!

Your excitement over your cell phone reminds me of the movie The Jerk with Steve Martin and when the new phone books arrived. Yay! you get your new phone!

That picture of Hamlet if priceless. I’m sure he’s so proud.

I’m sure you’ll give your phone an appropriate welcome.

I love the picture of your dog that’s so cute! I haven’t done Xmas cards either, but we’ve only gotten 2 so who cares. Apparently nobody likes us anymore, oh well, it’ll save money!

What a handsome pooch! Congrats on your phone. I need a new one so badly but I’m afraid that when I go to turn mine in they’re going to laugh at me.

Hamlet looks great in the ears of shame. I do hope your phone arrived with the proper pomp and circumstance due it.

Hamlet looks a touch, erm, peeved. I hope he doesn’t go all psycho on you.

Glad you are finally getting your phone.

I love the Christmas card picture of Hamlet – what a cute idea! Your delivery guys must be a heck of a lot better than ours – even if I’m home, they still just sit stuff on the porch – and then RUN back to their trucks. Apparently our three dogs (all small breeds, none weighing over 20lbs) scare the crap out of these guys.

You’re ahead of me on the Christmas card ordering. I still have to take a Christmas-y picture of Princess Nagger and order the prints. Hopefully they’ll be out by New Year…or Valentine’s Day. ;)

Did you have the best welcome for your phone and get to keep it?

    LOVE that picture of Hamlet!

  18. Tammy on December 16th, 2009 at 10:22 am

Love Hamlets picture. Last night I took picture of my new kitty with a Santa cap on she looks about a happy as Hamlet.

  19. Mrsbear on December 16th, 2009 at 10:47 pm

Hamlet’s picture is fantastic and I don’t even like animals dressed up.

  20. Eryn on December 17th, 2009 at 4:28 am

I’m pretty sure that there’s no better way to shame an animal than to strap antlers onto it.

At least you didn’t use a real one, ala the Grinch!
