We Are Settling Into Our New Home

The move to a new server is completed.  As suspected, I don’t think anyone actually suffered (although a few small, fluffy bunnies may have been killed in the process).  The only other casualty was my blog roll and I can reconstruct that pretty easily (does anyone actually read my blogroll anyway?).  I will be reconstructing that over the next couple of days so stay tuned (even if you don’t read it).

I am a little disappointed that nobody sent Small Town Daddy a nasty email.  A couple of nudges to work faster might have been helpful.  Ah well, I am sure we will run into technological snafus in the future.  Hold onto his email just in case.  That’s smalltowndaddy@gmail.com.

I do want to draw your attention to the banner across the top of the blog.  Yes, I have the typical picture of my kids.  How can I be a Small Town Mommy if I don’t include the kids.  Without them, I would just be a Small Town and that makes no sense.

But I digress.  I wasn’t drawing your attention to the photo of my kids (no matter how beautiful they actually are).  I wanted to draw your attention to the background.  That is taken from an oil painting created by my beautiful older daughter, Libby.  She took oil painting this summer and that was one of her masterpieces.  She plans to continue with it into the fall so I suppose I could get use oil paintings as a background forever more.  We will have to see.  We know how easily I get distracted by something new and shiny.

    I love the new header, I noticed it right away. I can’t believe you daughter created it, I have no artistic ability, so I am very impressed that she has so much talent at her young age.

    I actually noticed the header, too! You should brag about that. They look older, I am guessing this a new picture? I would be more than happy to send any snippy letters in the future, just let me know if he ever misses a holiday or anniversary!

    I’m loving the banner! And I do have my message in my save for now folder you say when I pull the trigger and SMD gets a blast! LoL ~ I hope the new home works out better

    I love that you used Libby’s artwork to make the header, it really is lovely. Best of luck with the move, I could barely tell the difference since the decor is somewhat reminiscent of your old place, but the new banner really livens things up. ;)
