Random Tuesday Thoughts, What About John and Kate
Today is Tuesday, which means it is time for Random Tuesday Thoughts. Apparently this is a whole movement. It was started by Keely from the UnMom as a chance to ramble put together a bunch of incoherent thoughts that are only tied together by the fact that they are unrelated. Imagine how important she must feel every Tuesday with all these people following her. I mentioned yesterday that I have the plague. Unfortunately for one of the families I work with, I had a meeting last night that couldn’t be postponed. After I had a huge coughing fit in their living room, they pretty much pushed me out the door. Of course, no one shook my hand before I left. This week, both girls are out of school and Joanna has not started camp yet. It is putting a major damper on lounging around and napping working. I find it hard to believe that someone as small as Joanna can be so demanding. I really believe she aspires to be a dictator of a banana republic somewhere. The TV is becoming my new best friend. Luckily, she likes the reruns of John and Kate Plus 8 (they are new to us). I have Tivo’ed about 18 of them so we should be good for a while. Next week, everyone goes to camp and I can go back to dancing naked like Tom Cruise in Risky Business napping working for most of the day. Speaking of Jon and Kate, I have heard they are getting a divorce. A lot of people have claimed it was because of their TV show. I don’t agree. I think it is because they are both somewhat unpleasant people. I think they would be that way with or without the TV show, it is just that no one would care. I was invited to have coffee with Margaret Cho and some other actress I have never heard of. Does this mean I have arrived? Probably not, but I would really like to go. I love Margaret Cho. I was one of probably 15 people who watched her reality show last summer. I was all full of myself and how important I must be until Frank pointed out that it would probably consist of me and about 1000 of my closest friends. I might get to see Margaret Cho from across the room, but would I really recognize her from that far away? Hopefully, tomorrow will bring the secrets I will share for how to survive a trip to an indoor water park. Meanwhile, stop by the UnMom to read everything Keely. She is shopping for baby gifts that will give you nightmares because that is how she rolls.

Gosh, how I would love to send my little one to camp. I think she would really enjoy it. So would mommy. LOL! Sounds like you’ve got some really exciting things coming up in your life. How fun! Thanks for stopping by.
Hugs
Michelle
Sissy wants to go to camp, but she’s stuck here with me. We’ll survive somehow. Last week it was Kindle and now it’s lunch with Margaret Cho. I’m so impressed and a little jealous! Don’t forget us little people when you’re famous.
My kiddo can’t go to camp this year because of finances. Hard to find things to keep a 10 yr old busy other than letting him turn into a zombie in front of his video games b/c that’s all he’s into. Sigh.
I hope your plague is getting better. Hmmm, coughing fit. Must remember this if want to get out of meeting.
Enjoy lunch!
I love your comment about why Jon and Kate are really getting divorced, so true! LOL!
Hey Anne, I hope you are starting to feel better, You are right about J&K and she admitted it on TV last night with or without the world watching things were falling apart. BTW ~ what was the appliance that died for the party?
You HAVE to go have coffee with Margaret Cho! And you HAVE to report back on your blog about it.
HAPPY STAR GAZING!
Please tell me the other commedianne is Kathy Griffin!! If it is, DO NOT miss this opportunity!! Wear a hospital mask and surgical gloves if you have to, but do not miss this opportunity!! If I was there, I would pretend to be you (without the quick wit and humor of course!) and arrive early!!
How refreshing to hear someone not just bag the snot outta Kate in that big ole mess… Jon is just as much a part of that dramah!
They do seem unpleasant don’t they? And what is up with her hair?? It’s horrid.
I forgot to say feel better!
Ugh, the plague. I hope you feel better soon.
Coffee with Margaret Cho?? You’re my hero!
(Yes, I just glossed over the part about the 1000 other people in my head. What? It’s a talent)
Hope you feel better. Both grandkiddos have the bug & I’ve been babysitting.
Have never seen J&K once. Also, haven’t heard of Margaret Cho. Guess I don’t watch any tv! Have a great time if you go!
Happy RTT & mine’s posted too!
I agree that Jon and Kate are just not nice people. If the show is tearing them apart so much, then they should have taken a break from the show and gone into counseling. I think they enjoy he limelight no matter how much they claim to hate it.
I don’t think that J&K are “not nice people” just that their faults are being highlighted by the TV and tabloids, etc. I think they were very nice people who just got wrapped up in fame.
Margaret Cho is too potty-mouthed for me. I know. I’m a prude. But…there are times she is really dang funny too. If you get to meet her let us know if she is as “potty-mouthed” in person. Oh dear, I’ve turned into my mother.
Pray for me!
