Random Tuesday Thoughts — End of School EditionToday is Tuesday, which means it is time for Random Tuesday Thoughts. According to Keely, all the cool kids are doing it, but I am playing along anyway. Don’t forget to enter my giveaway. All you have to do is figure out which appliance died during Libby’s family birthday party. I am going to give you another clue. The dramatic display from the appliance did not involve sparks. I should have made that clear. Most people assumed sparks and guessed the microwave. If you guessed microwave, it was wrong. Feel free to go back and guess again. I spent all day (again) waiting for the GE repair guy to show up. It was the same guy who came (twice) to fix my oven. My husband is starting to think I have a crush on him. Libby was upset that he wasn’t big and beefy. Small Town Daddy was upset that Libby was noticing if he was big and beefy. My broken appliance has been fixed and apparently, this one was my fault. I will explain the details when we announce the winner of the giveaway (since the details of what I did will give it away). Tomorrow is Libby’s graduation day (and the last day of school). Libby recently realized that this is her last chance to get the fancy box that the nurse gives out if you lose a tooth. She has a loose tooth that she has been wiggling like crazy. She is hoping it will fall out today. I gave her 2 apples for lunch to contribute to the cause. I am hoping she doesn’t think of having someone punch her in the face. Tomorrow is also the last day that Libby is on restricted activity from her the mono. She keeps telling me that mono is ruining her life so I can’t wait until she is allowed to do anything she wants (within reason). I wouldn’t be surprised if she was out on the trampoline tomorrow morning before the bus comes. Thank you for joining me with my random Tuesday thoughts today. And don’t forget to enter the guess the appliance giveaway and them visit The Un Mom (when you stop by to visit, bring vodka. She always appreciates a gift). |
Whew I am glad I did not guess the microwave LOL. Your Libby is resourceful, and clever, you have to give her that. I do not like Vodka, but a little spiced rum, and coke is awesome.
So what if he is big and beefy.
You deserve it after what you’ve been through
I think all daddies react that way when their little girls start noticing boys… Even non-big and beefy repairmen!
Oh what kids do for just a box of small nothings..
Happy Randomness!
fellow random girl myself
Hope all goes well with the tooth! I seem to remember having to bring mine home wrapped in a napkin… Happy RTT!
So glad that Libby is on the mend and will be FREEEEEEE!!! soon.
Yeah for Libby’s soon to be freedom.
hope she loses that tooth tonight and that she’s feeling better. mono’s no fun
Oh that’s too funny you sent apples to hopefully assist in the loose tooth coming out… Princess Nagger has been wiggling her first loose tooth, but seems to be nervous about it actually coming out…even when I tell her the Tooth Fairy is waiting for that tooth, she still doesn’t quite want to make it looser than it is…I think she’s acquired an allergy to pain like I have…
WooHoo! Only one more day for Libby to be on restrictive activity! Too funny that she noticed the repair guy not being ‘big and beefy’…well, not for Small Town Daddy…
Happy RTT!
So glad that Libby is getting better
So that’s why all the appliances are on the fritz, you’re sabotaging them to get to the repair guy.
Glad Libby is feeling better, I didn’t realize it was mono. That sucks!
Hard to imagine school is almost out! I didn’t know kids could get mono so young? Seems I remember only middle school/high school kids getting mono!
Off to guess again on your contest, cuz I was one of those microwave guessers. Thanks for visiting my new blog & Happy RTT & mine’s upt too!
It’s funny when the kids catch on that other guys can be attractive to mom! Congrads on school year end, The girl is in the middle of exams so she is still there until Friday. I hope the apples worked and she gets her cool tooth holder!
Oh, dear. I do hope Libby doesn’t resort to face punching. Tell her it doesn’t work . . . so I’ve heard.
Hee hee hee. Big and beefy.
Congratulations to your daughter for finishing school. Good to hear her mono is clearing up. I’m curious about your “guess the appliance” giveaway so I’ll have to take a look.
Don’t you wish you could book an appointment with a four hour window and then just not show up AND still have a job. I totally sympathize with that. Glad Libby can be out and about and back to being a kid.
I had mono 10 yrs ago and it was the worst thing I’d ever experienced, so I pray Libby gets over it soon! I’m glad she has a loose tooth to focus on
Hope her last day of school went well! P.S. There is an award for you on my blog http://momwriterme.blogspot.com/2009/06/creative-mom-blogger-award-your-blog.html
I had mono as a kid and congrats to your daughter for finishing school.
