Snow in the Small Town: What the Hell!?!

OMG, it’s already Wednesday.  I seem to be losing all track of time this week.  On Wednesdays, we join the ladies of Blue Monkey Butt with What the Hell Wednesday!?!  This is our opportunity to share some of the things that are driving us nuts.

This weekend, we got a little bit of snow, WTH!?!  Actually, I guess that is an understatement.  We got a butt-load of snow.  It snowed on Friday and there are still schools that are closed.  Some of them aren’t going back until next week.

Here in the Small Town, we only missed one day of school, WTH!?!  I used to hate snow days because the kids required a lot of maintenance, spending all day distracting me from work.  Now that they are older (and able to take care of themselves), I actually prefer snow days.  It means I don’t have to get up as early to get everyone moving.

Of course, we are supposed to get snow again tonight, WTH!?!  Actually, I would be okay with lots of snow.  We have a school concert tomorrow.  If you have never been to an elementary school concert, it sounds a lot like a bag of cats, all kinds of screeching.  I might be grateful if the concert was snowed out.

That’s my story and I’m sticking to it.  The snow has been driving me crazy but it’s winter so I know to expect it.  What do you think of snow?  Do you enjoy being snowed in or do you get stir crazy?

    I’d be moving lol I just cannot tolerate all that snow, not even one little flake.

    For a change we didn’t get a butt load of snow :) I have been to an elementary school concert and know exactly what you mean. I would be praying for snow too

    I like snow days. I also used to like it when the kids were off of school–summer, holidays, etc. It just meant a whole lot of no running…for ALL of us. I loved that feeling.

    We haven’t had any big snows, but I would love one. I’m keeping my fingers crossed for next week.

    I do not like snow. Since I am short it does not take much snow for it to be a butt load around me….

    it’s Wednesday, so it means I already missed the Meow Oreo Monday, got to go there, time flies so quick, before we know it, it is wednesday again :(
    i loved the surprise no-school snow days back when i was still there, haha, i got to sleep in later :)

    I too missed Meow Monday, wth! I promise if it snows here, I am moving! I hate snow and everything that goes with it. Spring will be here soon, and then Summer and then I can complain about how hot it is while you are just having fun in the sun.

    I am so freaking jealous of everyone getting snow. I’m the one who WANTS it – and yet all we’ve had in my section on NJ is a lousy 6 inches. TOTAL. *sigh*
