Have you ever heard of Shari’s Berries? It’s a mail order company that delivers chocolate. That’s right, chocolate. Now if you know me at all, you know that I LOVE chocolate. So if someone offers me chocolate, I am all over it. I should also mention that I tend to be a chocolate snob. While I enjoy good chocolate, I don’t like waxy or cheap chocolate. In fact, I have spoiled my children so they don’t like it either (Santa brought British chocolate this year because everyone prefers that to packaged US chocolate. Because of my love of chocolate, I volunteered to do a review of Shari’s Berries for Valentine’s Day gifts. Valentine’s Day is my birthday as well so I always tell people to shop early and avoid the rush (all gifts may be sent to Small Town Mommy, Small Town, CT). I will admit that I got sucked into shopping for chocolate. I was supposed to be working so, of course, I spent hours browsing. There were cookies. There were cakes. And, of course, there was chocolate. Lots and lots of chocolate. I finally settled on a handmade caramel and pretzel sampler and english toffee. Just like when you order flowers, you can choose what day it will be delivered (that means you can order today and have it delivered in the Small Town on my birthday). The chocolate arrived 5 days after I ordered it (it would cost extra to have it delivered over the weekend) (notice that my birthday is on a weekday, no extra shipping fee). I showed great restraint and waited until dinner to open it (yes, I do deserve a medal). Now, the part you are waiting for, the taste. The milk chocolate was very creamy (disclosure: I haven’t tried the dark chocolate because I don’t like dark chocolate). The caramel and pretzel sampler came with this amazing block of caramel, pretzels and chocolate. It was delicious. In fact, there may have been a little bit of an argument over the block of caramel, pretzels and chocolate because everyone wanted it. I love english toffee so, of course, the toffee was delicious. I even liked the dark chocolate toffee (yes, I ran out of the milk and I needed chocolate). If you are looking for a great Valentine’s gift, check out Shari’s Berries. You can shop early to avoid the rush and have it delivered whenever you choose. I received no compensation for participating in this review. I did receive a gift code to allow me to experience ordering and eating Shari’s Berries products. All opinions expressed are my own and were not influenced or approved by outside individuals or organizations. |
Heh. I’m a chocolate snob too.
And yes, you DO deserve a medal for waiting until after dinner to open / eat your special delivery.
I am off to shop for some goodies at Shari’s Berries! Thanks for the hook up!
It baffles me how most do not like dark chocolate. It is no where near as sweet as milk chocolate which I do not like lol
I’m addicted to chocolate and I even love dark chocolate. I don’t however care for white chocolate
I do not eat chocolate but the publicist says that not only would she not have waited until dinner she probably would not have waited to share with the male person.
That is not nice, is it?
oh, i love chocolates too, would so love to have load of it
I have tried Shari’s Berries and they are wonderful!
