The Small Town is devastated by the shooting in Newtown. While I try not to give clues as to the location of the Small Town, we are next to Newtown. We don’t know anyone who attends Sandy Hook Elementary but it still hits very close to home. The Small Town Ladies are at school. The schools are not on lockdown but there is a police presence in the school and we can’t help but worry about them. Hug your children close and pray for those families that no longer have that option. We are just devastated by what has happened.

I’m sorry this is so close to you. I have been in a funk since hearing about this. Feel sick about it. I just don’t understand why these people can’t just off themselves first instead of taking out so many people with them. I will never understand.
This is awful – my human and I have a cat rescuer friend in Newtown, and we know that the whole community has been devastated by this horrible tragedy. Our thoughts go out to the residents of this town.
Anything like this is tragic but so much scarier when it hits that close to home
The publicist has been very upset. She does not understand how anyone can point a gun at a child and shoot. She is very, very sad.
when I heard about the news, I thought about you right away and prayed for the safety of your kids, it is very sad, I was in tears reading the news because how can that happen?
No matter where this happened it was too close. My weekend has been tears and hugs for my children.

Oh no! I can’t imagine how that community must be reeling! And to be anywhere near there? Scary. The whole world is too close when something like that happens.
