Still No Food Network and Other Random Thoughts

Today is the first Tuesday of the new year so you are probably expecting great things. I am sorry to disappoint. It is time for the first Random Tuesday Thoughts of 2010, a bunch of stuff that isn’t long enough to merit its own post. Random Thoughts is brought to you by Keely from The UnMom and the letter Q (just because I like the letter Q).
So after a week and a half of vacation, both girls had a delayed opening for school on Monday (because apparently school still didn’t want them back). I have to remember to get off of that other school district’s phone list. I am getting really tired of the phone ringing at 5:45 am to let me know that a nearby district has no school. So far, the only time I remember is when schools are closed.
Thank you to everyone for your kind commiseration about my loss. We are still suffering here in the Small Town. Why can’t everyone just get along and why must the children be the ones who suffer?
I finally badgered convinced Small Town Daddy to load music onto my phone. This means that I can make and choose my own ringtones. Does anyone have any suggestions?
I mentioned last week that I have started working out with Wii EA Sports Active More Workouts (couldn’t the name be shorter? It takes longer to type than to do the workout). Libby has been enjoying watching me work out, while barking orders. Imagine a 5 foot, 10 year old who weighs 85 lbs soaking wet, yelling, “More, harder, faster, mom, you aren’t doing it right.” No jury in the country will convict me for causing bodily harm.
Why is it that the dog listens to me more than anyone else in the house? The husband and kids tend to ignore, but the dog sometimes listens and even does what I ask.
Am I the only person who remembers the song Planet Rock by Soulsonic Force? Thanks to the beauty that is YouTube, I can listen to it anytime I want. In fact, I can even share it with you. And you can choose to watch it or not, depending on your mood (no auto-play here in the Small Town).

I could not imagine the frustration of having other schools call we are not rural but rural enought that there is only one school in our immediate area

One wake up call from school at that hour would be enough for me to get off their list. I hate to be awakened early. Besides, that’s the apparent obnoxious dogs across the street’s job. errrrrr

Still without Food Network and your kid as a personal trainer? You make my life look gooood.
I have gotten about 25 emails, calls and texts with Wii questions from everyone I know lol.

I have never heard that song before, interesting…..I’m currently not using my new Wii fit, with the continuous headache I haven’t been in the mood, and I’m a little afraid of the wii fit lady yelling at me. I’m such a wimp. Good luck with the active thingy.
I definitely need to find some type of fitness plan, whether it be Wii or not. As for ringtones, I’ve got baby rap, chicken dance, and a few others. Got them from a really cool website for FREE (my favorite kinds). I just can’t remember the website. I bet you can probably Google it though.
What is it about mom exercising that the kid’s find so entertaining, my kids loved watching me play on the Wii Fit, or do the 30 Day Shredd even. Like I’m there to amuse them. I really need to get back to exercising.

Oh and KUDOS for working out.. at all… i plan on doing that too.. anytime soon actually:P
