Last time I shared a room with a "stranger" was as a chaperone on DD26 8th grade field trip to Quebec City, with another mom. Really uncomfortable. She had nicer PJs than I did. Sharing a room with a stranger sucks...I like the idea someone posted about contacting the person you're supposed to share with and see if she will chip in to split the cost of an extra room so you can each have your own room. You can also talk to the person who is booking the rooms to find out if there are any alternatives... when I traveled for business, if they had me slated to share a room with someone, if I spoke up to let them know I preferred my own room, they usually changed it...but then again, the economy wasn't in the tank like it is now... :) Princess Nagger keeps nagging me to get 3 Snuggies…one for her, one for me, and one for Dada…LOL!!

If "they" are sending you on this trip, are they paying for it? If so, you can usually get out of sharing a room by just paying for your own room.
